MEDICAL STANDARDS:
Candidates should be physically healthy, free of any physical defects.  Medical standards stipulate minimum requirements of Weight: 45 kg (male) / 35kg (female); Height: 155 cm (male) /143 cm (female); Myopia and Hypermetropia, if any, vision  00 D in each eye in case of Category-B employees (Technical working in Mines) and ±8.00 Din case of category C (Working outside the mines).  For ACTT-HMV candidates who fall under Category-A Employee (Vehicle  Drivers & moving machine operator) with Myopia and Hypermetropia, if any, a vision not to exceed ±2,50 D in each. Note: Minimum pre-requisites are the clinical requirements listed above. However, the selection of selected candidates will be subject to passing the medical examination of the Company in compliance with the requirements set out in the Clinical & Health Manual of SAIL

MODE OF SELECTION:
i) For the post of Medical Officer (Dental): Selection will be through written examination and interview. Eligible candidates will be required to appear in the written examination.

Candidates shortlisted on the basis of their performance in the Written Test will be required to appear in the interview in order of merit, in the ratio of 1:3 for each post. The interview may be held at short notice for which the call letters will be uploaded on the careers page of the SAIL website.

For final selection, the merit list will be drawn by combining the scores of written examination and Interview with the weight of 80:20 in that order and on the basis of Presidential Directives of Reservation.
ii) For the post of Mining Foreman, Mining Mate, Surveyor (Mines), Nursing Sister (Trainee), Operator-cum-
Technician(Trainee) and Attendant-cum- Technician (Trainee) [HMV]:
Selection will be through written examination and skill test. Eligible candidates will be required to appear in the written examination.

MODE OF SELECTION:

Candidates shortlisted on the basis of their performance in the Written Test will be required to appear in the skill test/ trade test in order of merit, in the ratio of 1:3 for each post. Weightage for classification on the basis of marks obtained in the written test would be 100%.

Skill test/ Trade Test will be of qualifying nature. Date, Time & Place
of the Written Test and skill test will be intimated to eligible/shortlisted candidates through e-mail or careers page of
SAIL website.
The written test will compromise of a total 100 questions (Multiple Choice Questions) which are to be attempted in 90
minutes. Written test for the different posts shall constitute the following segments:

SAIL RMD Recruitment 2019 HOW TO APPLY:
Eligible and interested candidates would be required to apply online only through SAIL’s website www.sail.co.in at the link “Careers” and clicking Raw materials Division. No other user mode shall be considered. To apply, applicants can click on the post-application link and send information in the relevant fields online.

When applying, applicants will ensure that they follow all the commercial eligibility requirements. Their admission will be purely provisional at all stages of the examination, subject to the conditions of eligibility prescribed, which will be verified at the time of the examination. Test / Trade Test or Interview.

A simple issue of a written exam/call letter for the Ability Test / Trade Test or Interview admission card will not mean accepting candidacy.

Candidates are advised to read instructions carefully before online submission of application. The same will be available on the website. Before registering their application on the website, candidates should ensure the following:

(a) Possess a Valid e-mail ID and Mobile No., which should remain valid for at least one year.
(b) Pay in Slip (SBI Challan) of ₹500/- or ₹250/- or ₹150/- (as applicable for the posts specified at H above]. SC/ST
candidates are exempted from payment of Application and Processing fees. The Pay in Slip is to be downloaded from the website after filling in the required details.

(c) Candidates should have the latest passport size colored photograph (jpg or jpeg file only up to 50kb) as well as a photograph of signature in digital format (jpg or jpeg file only up to 20kb) for uploading with the online application form.

(d) While submitting the application online, candidates should note that Category (General/SC/ST/OBC/ EWS) once submitted in the application cannot be changed and no benefit of other categories will be subsequently admissible.

(e) As it appears in the Matriculation/ Secondary School certificate, the applicants will enter their full name when applying. In the case of a subsequent change of name, documentary evidence is required to be submitted at the time of Skill 
Test/Trade Test or Interview.

(f) The candidates will be allowed to appear in the Written Test only if they possess the valid Admit Card which will be available for downloading from the SAIL website. However, candidates shortlisted for Skill Test/ Trade Test or Interview
