Indian Navy Recruitment 2019: The Indian Navy has published a notice of recruitment for the August 2020 Sailor Post. On the official website of the Indian Navy, www.joininindiannavy.gov.in, from 8 November 2019, eligible unmarried male candidates may apply for Indian Navy AA and SSR recruitment.

The last date for submitting the Indian Navy Sailor Vacancy 2019 Applications is 18 November 2019.

Indian Navy Sailors are the main workforce in the Indian Navy and a good career option for Secondary and Senior Secondary passed candidates. A total of 2700 vacancies have been notified out of which 2200 vacancies are for India Navy SSR (Senior Secondary Recruit) and 500 are for Indian Navy AA (Artificer Apprentice).

Examination Fees

  • Candidates should pay Rs. 215/-

Age Limit

Candidates should be born between 01-08-2000 to 31-07-2003 (Both dates inclusive).

  1. Pay & Allowances. During the initial training period, a stipend of 14,600/- per month will be admissible.   1. AA– Selection of recruits is based on the all India order of merit on their performance in Computer-based Examination, subject to qualifying Physical Fitness Test (PFT) and fitness in Medical Examinations.

SSR-Selection of recruits is based on State wise merit of their performance in Computer-based Examination, subject to qualifying Physical Fitness Test (PFT) and fitness in Medical Examinations.

2. Computer-based Examination.

  • One common examination will be conducted for AA and SSR
  • The question paper will be computer-based with a total of 100 questions, each carrying 01
  • The question paper will be bilingual (Hindi & English) and objective type (multiple-choice).
  • The question paper will comprise of four sections i.e. English, Science, Mathematics and General

4.   Medical Standards.

  • Medical examination shall be carried out by licensed military doctors in accordance with the medical standard specified in the current regulations for mariners

(d) Preliminary medical examination for recruitment shall be deemed to be “Provisionally eligible in the final medical examination.” The final medical registration examination will take place at INS Chilka for all selected applicants.

Candidates who are found to be medically fit for medical examination at the final registration will be registered. Candidates who are found medically unfit will be advised to appeal against its findings, if they so desire, at INHS Kalyani, Visakhapa t- name within a maximum period of 21 days.
